9/11 MEMORIAL

The Memorial was constructed in 2007 as a remembrance for all of the innocent victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

The actual Memorial consists of two metal beams that were recovered from “ground zero” and an American flag that was also found in the rubble. The flag is preserved in a glass case and it is surrounded with plaques bearing the names of local residents who perished that day.

A “Tribute Ceremony” is held at the site each year on 9/11 to ensure that we “never forget” the victims of that tragic event and also to honor those who continue to defend our freedom.
